How do i trick the player ?

Im new to grade 9 and its pretty obvious who the player is, his names derek and hes kinda hot. I started talking to him on the 5th day of school. Currently he likes a girl, but i was hoping a little advice from you guys could change that into him liking me ? We already talk, i wanted him to come and pretend to be in my class today and we were jking around, and he wanted me to go get coffee with him at lunch, and then when after lunch we got late i was running back to him telling him to hurry up and i guess he thought i was gnna grab his hand so he had it out and was ready to hold mine - but i didnt. He was also like "oh lissa whyd you do that i thought you liked me" and i played it cool by giving him a questioning look and he said oh i meant as friends ahaa . I'm keeping him a little at bay, ignoring him and he mostly comes up to me. If you could give me a few things to talk about , he likes skate boarding and how to flirt with him i would appreciate it.
