Why does america worship u.s. military images?

I am sure that no one commanded anyone to stand for the troops. No one commands people to do that in America. If we didn't stand no one would take us to jail or have us shot. That is why we do stand up for the troops. We stand up for the troops because they are the ones that keep us free.
