End of shadow kissed by richelle mead why so sad?

I seriously loved the first two books and was LOViNg shadow kissed until dimitri turned strigoi! I am also pissed at rose for leaving Lissa Idc if she loves dimitri rose really should come first. Any other opinions?? And I don't want any spoilers from the books after just your opinions up to the end of shadow kissed.
