Why does the west and western media, always portray Asian people in a bad light?

Specifically South and East Asians. They call us smelly, short, scrawny, poorly endowed people, and are always making fun of us in media, when all these things are clearly false. Meanwhile white and black people are glorified in the media, not that there's nothing wrong with that but why shun others?
